Resources for Completing the CSS Profile

GuidedPath has a presentation on Answers on the College Board Financial Aid Application (The Profile) for International Parents as well as a FAQ on how to complete the application.

The CSS Profile is a form used by private institutions to determine financial need and sometimes to award merit scholarships. To complete the form, the student and parents will need information on their income and financial assets.

The Certification of Finances is a form that is required as part of the student visa process in the United States, and asks the student to demonstrate financial ability to cover the costs of studying in the U.S. This form is not used to determine financial need or eligibility for scholarships.
